Cape View Motel and Cottages is located at 124 John Doucette Road, Mavillette, NS B0W 2H0, just off the beaten path with a picture postcard view of Mavillette Beach Provincial Park, Cape St. Mary's fishing village, the lighthouse, and the Bay of Fundy - all from your motel window! Cape View Motel is within easy driving distance to the many attractions of the French Acadian Shore, including magnificent churches, working fishing wharves, Smuggler's Cove Provincial Park, and a large Acadian community. Close by in Yarmouth, there are museums, a scenic harbor, the Cape Forchu Lighthouse, and walking tours - while nearby Digby Neck features a scenic drive, whale watching, bird watching, and nature trails. A little further north lies Annapolis Royal, with historic buildings, Fort Anne Fortress, the Habitation, and the colorful historic gardens.
Things to do at Cape View include scenic drives, bird watching, photography, sketching, cycling, hiking, beach combing and ocean swimming. Whale watching trips can be arranged.
Dining - enjoy delicious lobster and scallop dinners at nearby local restaurants. Just bring a couple of good books (or borrow one of ours) and enjoy sitting outside relaxing to the sound of the surf while watching herons fishing in the salt marsh below, and fishing boats leaving the harbor of Cape St. Mary.
